Privacy Notice

This notice describes information collected through Martin County Released Inmates, why it is used, and when another party may receive it. By using this site, you accept the practices described here. The policy applies to site interactions, not to the separate privacy rules of the sheriff, courts, corrections agencies, advertisers, or search providers reached through outside links.

Information You Submit

Terms Entered in Search

A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates the tool. Martin County Released Inmates does not keep or log those query terms on its own systems. The provider's policy controls how it processes the submission.

Messages Sent to Us

Email and contact-form content may be retained as needed to read the request and send a reply. We do not share those messages beyond our organization unless a law or valid legal process requires disclosure.

Technical Data Collected Automatically

A page visit can create routine technical and usage information. That data may include:

  • The visitor's IP address
  • Browser name and version
  • Device category and operating system
  • Pages viewed and time spent on them
  • The referring website, when available
  • Date and time stamps

Cookies and Similar Tools

Cookies help measure how visitors move through the site and which material is useful. Browser controls can reject or delete cookies. Blocking them may cause some functions to work differently.

Reasons We Use Data

Collected data supports ordinary site operations and service decisions. It may be used to:

  • Keep pages available and responsive
  • Send a search request to the selected partner
  • Measure which pages visitors find useful
  • Diagnose errors and repair technical problems
  • Present advertising that may reflect visitor interests

Privacy Beyond This Site

Links may lead to Martin County release records, Minnesota sheriff or corrections pages, court portals, federal locators, and outside search tools. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy policy and terms control. We are not responsible for its data practices.

Advertising companies may use their own technology to measure activity across websites or select interest-based ads. That processing occurs within the partner's systems rather than ours.

Parties That May Receive Data

We do not sell personal data. Limited information may still reach:

  • Search providers that process submitted queries
  • Analytics services that measure visits and performance
  • Advertising networks that deliver or assess ads
  • Law enforcement or another government body responding to a valid legal order

Safeguards and Their Limits

Reasonable technical and organizational practices are used to protect information. No internet-connected service is fully secure, however. We cannot promise that a system will never be breached, interrupted, or accessed without permission.

Visitors Younger Than Eighteen

This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under eighteen. If a minor has submitted information, a parent or guardian may contact us and request its deletion.

Your Privacy Choices

Subject to applicable law and our ability to verify a request, a person may:

  • Ask for a copy of personal data we hold
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of eligible information
  • Object to or opt out of certain processing

Changes to This Notice

This privacy notice may be revised as practices or legal requirements change. A revised version becomes available on this page with an updated effective date.
